Installation

Installation Guide

  1. Open the downloaded TranceShot installer package and choose the Standalone, Audio Unit, and VST3 formats you need.
  2. Complete installation, then restart your DAW.
  3. In Logic Pro or GarageBand, create a Software Instrument track and choose AU Instruments > Tomocreate > TranceShot.
  4. In a VST3 host, rescan plug-ins if necessary, then search for TranceShot or Tomocreate.
  5. Launch the standalone app directly from Applications when you want to generate, record, or drag-export sounds without a DAW.

Core Workflow

Create a sound

1. Choose a category

Select the role you need—Uplifter, Impact, Sub Drop, Wah, and more.

2. Choose Generate Style

Set the musical direction for generation, such as Classic, Uplifting, Tech, or Psy. The Genre filter inside Browse only filters saved presets.

3. Press GENERATE

TranceShot creates a new sound and auditions it once. Pressing GENERATE during playback switches immediately to the new result.

4. Refine it

Finish the sound with QUICK macros, ADVANCED parameters, and GAIN/PITCH curves. MUTATE makes a smaller variation while retaining the current identity.

WAV DRAG EXPORT

Create a WAV by dragging

Drag the waveform shown in the GAIN/PITCH area and drop it onto a DAW track or any file location. TranceShot automatically creates a 24-bit WAV containing the current sound, last-played pitch, GAIN/PITCH curves, and effect tail.

Standalone

REC, BPM, and audio setup

RECRecords the standalone stereo output. Choose the format and filename after stopping.
DestinationSet the default REC export folder under Settings > General.
BPMEnter tempo to two decimal places, or tap three or more times. Outlier taps are rejected automatically.
Play / RepeatReplays the current sound without regenerating it. Repeat lets you edit GAIN/PITCH curves while listening.

MIDI

Performance and controller mapping

Trigger TranceShot from a MIDI keyboard or the keyboard along the bottom of the UI. In Settings > MIDI Controller, choose a controller preset or press Learn and move a hardware control to assign it. Custom mappings can be saved by name.

Presets

Browse, Save, and History

A preset selected in Browse applies immediately. Save stores the generated sound, all parameters, last-played pitch, and GAIN/PITCH curves as a User Preset. Use the History arrows to move through recent Generate and Mutate states.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need GENERATE after selecting a preset?

No. Choosing a preset in Browse applies it immediately.

How do I export a WAV to my DAW?

Drag the waveform directly to a DAW track. A 24-bit WAV is created on drop with no separate Save step. You can also drag it to any file location.

Which pitch is used for export?

The last note played from MIDI or the on-screen keyboard is retained for preset saving and WAV export.

The standalone app makes no sound

Check the output device and sample rate under Options > Audio / MIDI Devices. You can trigger sound from the keyboard at the bottom even without MIDI hardware.

How do I change the REC destination?

Choose a default folder under Settings > General > Recording. After stopping, export as 24-bit WAV, 24-bit AIFF, or lossless FLAC.
