Overview
What is MicroBooks Solo?
MicroBooks Solo is a bookkeeping and tax transfer tool for solo-owner S-Corps and single-member LLCs in the United States. It features double-entry bookkeeping with 72 accounts mapped to IRS form lines, plus tax information for all 50 US states and DC.
Important: MicroBooks Solo is a bookkeeping tool, not tax filing software. It does not file or submit any documents to the IRS or state agencies. Consult a qualified CPA before filing.

Getting Started
First-Time Setup
- On first launch, review and accept the disclaimer.
- Go to Settings and enter your company name, EIN, entity type (S-Corp or LLC), state, and tax year.
- Review the Chart of Accounts. Each account is mapped to an IRS form line.
- Record transactions in the Transactions tab. Debits must equal credits (double-entry).
- Use CSV Import to bulk-import bank statements.

Troubleshooting
FAQ
Transaction won't balance
- Check that total debits equal total credits. In double-entry bookkeeping, every transaction must balance.
Tax report numbers seem wrong
- Verify the tax form line mapping on each account. Go to the Accounts tab and check the 'Tax Form Line' column for each account.
How is my data backed up?
- The app automatically creates a database backup on every launch (5 rotation). You can also manually export and restore backups from Settings.
